When the light changes I check the sky. If a storm is rolling in from the West I get in the car and drive toward open spaces with less obstructed views.

I take photos until the rain hits and the storm is overhead. I’ve spent quite a few storms under overpasses as hail pelts the land. Hail storms are thrilling even though my garden is receiving a beating. Petrichor is the smell of rain on dry earth. It is the smell that tells you everything will be alright.
